Further details for Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy Programme:

This new online course is eligible for CPD points and is open to everyone.

The Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy Programme was designed and developed to allow individuals to learn and apply the basic concepts and fundamentals of Ayurveda to their lives. The introductory nature of the module facilitates the preliminary incorporation of Ayurvedic concepts into yoga teaching and provides a platform from which to further explore the science. The module involves lectures and discussion explaining and exploring the teachings of Ayurveda. It includes yoga practices to reinforce the teachings. There are practical assignments through which students keep personal diaries providing a record of how they find themselves and how they can restore balance where needed through making appropriate adjustments and changes to lifestyle and diet.

The module also includes conceptual study and written work to afford the opportunity of a more personally oriented exploration of the teachings. Finally, students have the opportunity to share what they learn through a presentation expressing how the teachings have influenced them either personally and/or in their work.

Further details for Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy Module II:

While Ayurveda Module I is exploratory, offering insight into and understanding of the fundamental principles and workings of Ayurveda, Module II is both practical and visionary. We apply Ayurvedic principles to undergo a detox process (assuming this is appropriate for the participant). We also acquire deeper knowledge of the functions of the dosas and learn lifestyle and dietary techniques that will help us restore and sustain well-being. Furthermore, the course integrates Ayurvedic and yogic approaches and techniques to improve energy levels and general well-being. The teachings are practical, implementable and sustainable. In true Ayurvedic fashion, they are insightful and allow us to better understand our world and how to live in it in order to reach enlightenment.
