Summary

Mindfulness is not something to ‘get’ or acquire. It is already within you – a deep internal resource available and patiently waiting to be reawakened and used in the service of learning, growing, and healing.

Mindfulness cultivates non-judgemental awareness of each and every moment that we live. It supports us in living consciously and with attention to whatever arises in our lives, the world around us, in our bodies and in our minds. Mindfulness encourages us to cultivate a compassionate relationship towards ourselves, and in so doing, to bring this approach to our relationships with others.

Beneficiaries: those who are stressed, with medical conditions, psychological distress and those using the programme for prevention and wellness all report general well-being and an ability to live more peacefully.

Benefits: Participants report increased energy and enthusiasm, greater ability to relax, growing self-confidence and an ability to handle stressful situations with growing ease. MBSR cultivates harmony, balance and living with awareness.

Two courses will be delivered concurrently at the British Red Cross Centre, Hoskins Rd, Oxted: one on a Thursday evening and another on a Friday morning. The courses will combine for an optional all-day Sunday session.

One-to-one sessions

For various reasons, some people may prefer one-to-one sessions, which can take place either face-to-face or through distance learning. These options are outlined below and can be tailored according to individual needs.

Face-to-face

Eight customised face-to-face sessions

Cost: £560

Face-to-face & telephone
A personalised rather than group experience. Eight contact sessions would normally be divided equally between face-to-face and telephonic sessions,
although there are courses that rely exclusively on the latter when geography is prohibitive.

Cost: £480

Skype sessions

I also deliver sessions on skype which can be either 8 hourly sessions or a course of four one-and-a-half hour sessions over 8 weeks.

Cost: £450 (8) or £340 (6 hours)

Supplementary Materials

All people taking the course receive an electronic course workbook.

Should you wish to pursue any of these options or discuss them further, kindly contact Cathy-Mae.
